ProLift, Toyota Material Handling is searching for an Allied/Engineering Product Sales Representative in the Northern Ky to Lexington, KY area to oversee the layout and design of pallet racking, mezzanines, modular offices, Dock & Door and other associated Material Handling products and systems. Successful Sales Representative will listen and respond with solutions for the customer’s needs and requests.

Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

  • Grow engineered products sales volume and expand the customer base by selling new and used equipment, executing business plans, including targeting prospects, as well as exceeding annual goals
  • Work up Equipment quotes, follow-up with leads, assist other Sales Professionals as requested by the Sales Manager, demonstrate product, understand and present financial merchandising solutions/alternatives, prepare application and product surveys, evaluate trade-in equipment, participate in ProLift and vendor programs as needed, respond with the same urgency and concern for internal and external customers
  • Be an effective business partner to customers and prospects by understanding their business needs
  • Coordinate activities with New Equipment Sales Representative & Customer Service Sales  Representative to ensure territory covered effectively and efficiently
  • Prepare progress updates for monthly review with the Allied Sales Manager
  • Ensure professional development by participating in Carew and other personal development programs
  • Develop annual business plans and goals
  • Build effective relationships with ProLift customers, prospects, vendors (especially Allied)
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is always the #1 priority
  • Utilize CRM system to manage territory by developing itineraries and call reports, managing prospecting and other call activity and maintaining the database
  • Utilize available technology to be a more effective and efficient resource to ProLift, its customers and prospects and yourself
  • Ensure professional development by participating in TTN, Carew and other personal development programs.   Be open to coaching by your sales manager
  • Maintain a time/effort ratio of approximately 50% to current customers and 50% to prospective customers.  Approximately 50% of your total time should be spent directly with customer and prospects

Education/Job Requirements:     

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High school and or some college required
  • 4-5 years Industry-related experience or strong industry training
  • Proven success with solutions selling
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft office products
  •  Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Daily travel within the territory and limited overnight travel
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
