ProLift Toyota Material Handling is searching for a successful Business Development Sales Representative for the Lexington, KY territory.  Successful Business Development Sales Representative will generate new business opportunities and qualifying sales leads within the assigned territory and/or prospect list.  Sales Representative will promote ProLift as a business partner to customers including promoting ProLift’s values and culture, exceeding customer expectations with the goal of becoming an “Indispensable Partner”.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Prospect for and create new opportunities within assigned territory and/or prospect list
  • Follow-up on all assigned marketing leads on the phone and/or in person
  • Handle inbound and/or outbound telesales for assigned territory and/or prospect list to initiate interest and to stimulate new business opportunities
  • Coordinate activity with the Sales Manager, Equipment Sales and Customer Service Sales Representative
  • Works to achieve monthly sales-qualified lead goals to drive interest in ProLift
  • Grow sales, parts, service and rental sales volume and expand the customer base by selling used equipment to Conquest (New) Accounts within assigned territory
  • Be an effective business partner to prospects and newly acquired customers by understanding their business needs.
  • Becomes knowledgeable of ProLift’s complete offerings and target industries to facilitate sales efforts
  • Coordinate activity with Equipment and Customer Service Sales (CSS) Representative to ensure territory covered effectively and efficiently.
  • Work effectively with Specialty Products group as needed
  • Utilize CRM system to manage territory by developing itineraries and call reports, managing prospecting and other call activity and maintaining the database
  • Utilize available technology to be a more effective and efficient resource to ProLift, its customers and prospects and yourself
  • Ensure professional development by participating in Toyota Training and other personal development programs
  • Accompany Equipment Sales Representative on all follow-up meetings and sales presentations related to the new business opportunities created
  • Strategically follow-up on all assigned used equipment quotes
  • Develop a strong sense of urgency in response to both internal and external opportunities
  • Be an effective business partner to customers and prospects by understanding their business needs
  • Manage customer service initiatives (Used Voice of the Customer and Loyalty Guarantee) Promote ProLift’s philosophies, vision, strategies, and value of “Doing the Right Thing”
  • TLM “Toyota Lean Management” visionary
  • Protects organizations values by keeping information confidential and ability to handle sensitive information

Education/Job Requirements:

  • High School Graduate required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Valid Driver’s License/Acceptable Driving Record
  • 1-2 Sales experience preferred; industrial sales a plus
  • Proficient with CRM and Microsoft Office products
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
