ProLift, Toyota Material Handling is searching for a Rental Specialist who will take all steps necessary to respond to the customer’s rental needs of Toyota Forklifts and other Specialty equipment for the Louisville CustomerService  Center.   Successful Rental Specialist will ensure the rental trucks utilization and maintenance costs are maintained for the Louisville and Southern Indiana Territory.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Effectively maintain a minimum unit utilization of 80% while maximizing the dollar utilization
  • Follow all Rent Department Standard Operating Procedures(SOP’s)
  • To work with Corporate and other Customer Service Centers to obtain any needed equipment, not locally available, in order to satisfy the customer’s needs
  • Work with the shipping receiving manager to properly deliver the rental asset to the customer on time
  • Quickly act on all customer complaints and concerns in a way that promotes company policy
  • Monitor lost rent and rent utilization reports so to help pinpoint areas of concern
  • Track and complete a monthly rental call log and send it in to the Central Operations Manager
  • Maintain a workable knowledge of the rent fleet so to be better prepared to satisfy the customer’s needs
  • Comply with Company Standards in maintaining the rent fleet while controlling costs
  • Continue reviewing maintenance reports to help recognize problem areas needing improvement
  • Ensure that all rent trucks comply with all safety standards set by both OSHA and ProLift
  • Maintain proper labeling and information on each forklift to better educate the customer
  • Ensure all necessary planned maintenance is completed on schedule or adjusted if found to be unnecessary
  • Complete unit overtime billing on a monthly basis. Take all steps to have this bill automatically
  • Ensure rental customers provide proof of insurance on an annual basis.
  • Ensure customer accounts are in good standing and process all necessary documents to establish new customer accounts
  • Communicate all customer account changes or updates as necessary
  • Complete all rental billing in a timely manner as required by management
  • Complete unit check outs and check in’s with assistance from the service department. notify and quote customer damage(s) upon return of rental units
  • Work with used truck manager on retiring trucks or sold trucks
  • Communicate needed repairs to other CSC rental specialist per company policy

Education/Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred
  • 1-2 years in material handling service environment, or similar industry preferred
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities, with attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude
  • Must be able to communicate technically in the products we service
  • Proficient in Microsoft office products (Word, Excel & Outlook)
