ProLift Toyota Material Handling is searching for a Customer Service Sales (CSS) Representative to maintain and develop customer and prospect relationships in the in Evansville and northern counties over to Jasper, IN.  CSS Sales Representative will listen and respond with solutions to customer and prospect needs and requests of all Service, Parts and Rental request of the customers Material Handling needs.  Successful CSS Sales Representative will promote ProLift as a business partner to the customer including promoting ProLift’s values and culture, exceeding customer expectations with the goal of becoming an “Indispensable Partner”.

Job Responsibilities (but not limited to:) 

  • The territory for this position will consist of Evansville and northern counties over to Jasper, IN  
  • Grow parts, service and rental sales volume and expand the customer base by executing business plans, including targeting prospects, as well as exceeding annual goals
  • Touch every unit in operation in assigned territory at minimum annually.  Develop appropriate call schedules for specific accounts
  • Coordinate activity with Equipment Sales Representative to ensure the territory is covered effectively and efficiently
  • Turn in weekly call reports to managers detailing previous weeks activity and current weeks set appointments and plans
  • Build effective relationships with ProLift customers, prospects, vendors and staff
  • Promote ProLift’s culture and value of “Doing the Right Thing”
  • Ensure customer satisfaction is always the #1 priority
  • Maintain a time/effort ratio of approximately 80% to current customers and 20% to prospective customers
  • Maintain excellent communications through phone, email, face to face, reporting and analysis
  • Develop annual business plans and goals
  • Promote service agreements, tires, safety and other programs to the extent they are solutions to customer and prospects needs and requests
  • Utilize the company provided CRM system to develop itineraries call reports, manage prospecting and other call activity and maintain the database accuracy
  • Utilize available technology to be a more effective and efficient resource to ProLift, its customers and prospects and yourself
  • Ensure professional development by participating in Toyota product training and other personal development programs. Be open to coaching by your manager
  • Schedule follow up on all new equipment (delivery, 30 days, 6 month, 12 month, etc.)
  • Schedule follow up visits on all initial PM services, shop jobs, major in-plant repairs.
  • Work up Preventative Maintenance quotes, help manage consignment inventories, follow-up with leads, follow-up with recommended repairs, shop jobs and major field work, as well as developing, analyzing and presenting KPI reports to customers and other activities that support customers in the territory.
  • Identify accounts that have in house maintenance departments and develop strategic plan on how to win their business
  • Maintain a minimum of 180 days in the field per year
  • Have a minimum goal of two set appointments per day
  • Have a minimum goal of ten customer visits per day in the field
  • Manage customer service initiatives (Used Voice of the Customer and Loyalty Guarantee) Promote ProLift’s philosophies, vision, strategies, and value of “Doing the Right Thing”
  • TLM “’Toyota Lean Management” philosophy
  • Protects organizations values by keeping information confidential and ability to handle sensitive information

Minimum Knowledge and Skills:

  • High School Degree required, Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience in Sales required, 5-8 years’ experience and strong industry experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office Knowledge
  • Strong communication skills & customer service skills
  • Good managerial and administrative skills
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Travel required throughout Southern Indiana and surrounding counties (overnight stays if needed)
  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
